"'You are what you eat”
What you “feed” yourself, not just literally, but mentally and spiritually becomes a part of you.
Story time:
At my last job, I was super excited to have a cubicle and even more excited to decorate it. I decided that I would cover its walls in motivational quotes and uplifting song lyrics. The only issue was that I didn’t know that many quotes. So I spent my free time, at work, googling quotes, asking coworkers for their favorites and writing them on post it notes. Overtime, not only did my cubicle walls become engulfed in positivity but so did my responses to people. When friends, coworkers and customers would bring me their troubles, I'd find myself reciting a random quote that fit their situation.
What I’m trying to say is that, what you “feed” yourself; what you devote your time to, the music you listen to, the friends you hang out with, the Netflix you binge on, and even the post you read and share on Facebook, they all become a part of you. The phrase “ you are what you eat” is so much bigger than food.
