There's this magical moment when the gentle chatter and roar of the crowd dies down and you feel their attention latch on to you.
It's addicting, its intimidating, its affirming to know that you've done something to spark an interest in these people.
story time:
Last week I ended up at a house party. It was fun! I played some beer bong, shot some pool. However, after a while, I just wanted to make music. I went and grabbed my guitar out of the car.( of course I had it with me)I went in the back, sat down and just started playing. I looked up after the first song and there were people there listening. As I continued to play more people came out, a bonfire was even started. I looked up and asked "Don't you guys have better stuff to do?" hahah They stayed and kept listening. They would talk and cheer between songs, even shout out requests, but as soon as I started playing again, they would quiet back down. I'm so humbled and so blessed... that's all I can say.
Sincerely,
Joshua Purnell
