He Told Me So...

A little over a month ago, I went to a coffee shop for an open mic. After my set, I stood and listened to a few more artist, before I had to go to work. I was standing beside a guy with long hair, a full beard and really cool hat. I had seen him perform before I went on. He had a real folky sound and killer falsetto. I was worried about having to follow him.-fortunately, I didn't have to- He told me he enjoyed my set and asked if those were originals. I thanked him and said "The first was a cover; the second one was me." I thanked him again and left for work.
We crossed paths a couple weeks later and he told me "we are gonna make great music together, one day". I didn't think much of it. However, I told him "I'm always down to jam."
Well, tonight I found out he was right. Tonight at the Elbow Room, he was there... but with much less hair. As I was walking up to perform, he asked "do you mind if I play with you?" I said "sure" but deep down I was worried how we'd sound, since we hadn't practiced or had ever even played together before.
Apparently I had nothing to worry about! He was brilliant! he added all these cool guitar parts to my "Sunday Morning" cover. It was the best it has ever sounded. He effortlessly played along to the rest of my songs as well. I cant wait to jam with him again.
